CoEd Soccer 2009

A good fun season of soccer. They made it to the second game in the tourney. The team played well this game against the supposed #4 team. (I did the bracket backward to figure out the seeding... recreation geek I know) The team had momentum and energy and played very well. They lost during the PK's after the 5 minutes of over time.

One of the Pike sisters was sad that she had forgotten her camera and wanted a team picture. Then I remembered that I had brought mine.

Everyone is in this I think... except the Argyles

This one is a bit more...umm organized?

Ken and Kelsey brought oranges. They were delicious.

At this point I think I was taking random pictures

The Pike family. They even got into almost height order for me. :)

Lauren put on a wonderful baby shower for me. There were even Costco muffins. Yum

Cute table arrangement

Fun gifts... baby clothes, bibs, candy... what more could a person ask for?

Jenn is very wonderful and she made this hooded towel for the baby. It even matches the towels we have in our bathroom. I opened it and everyone said put it on put it on. So I did...

After the game and present opening all of the sisters sat and talked with each other. It was wonderful.

Work Going Away Party

Kimi and I had a going away party. Since the office has 4-H and extension workers there is always some food involved. Kimi chose brownies to be the food of choice. So we had a brownie party complete with ice cream.

Everyone brought their best type of brownie. JoLene was trying a whole wheat sugar free type... that one did not make it out of her kitchen. Someone brought brownies with black beans in them. Linda, Marie and Cathy's brownies were the best. Cathy's may have won in my book though. Since I had no chance of winning best taste with all these amazing brownies... I went for cutest. They are colored marshmallows that I cut up to look like leaves and flowers. I got the idea from Betty Crocker.

Cathy and Lindsey presented Kimi and I both with baby blankets. Kimi's is jungly with brown and green stripes. Mine had Noah's Ark on the front and this amazing green bumpy fabric on the back. Both of them have fuzzy fabric on the backs. They were not tied yet so the party activity... true to 4-H was to tie them :)

Lindsey then gave Kimi her "real gift" it is a lunch time apron. It is signed by all the people in the office. Kimi tied the ribbon around her head and pronouced that she was a housewife.

Kimi I'll miss you!

FHE at the Park

So I bought some brats on sale and decided it would be best to eat them as part of a picnic. We cooked them first in a frying pan, made potato salad and headed off to the Canyon.

Mmmm

So I think this boy has a nature affinity toward water. Every time there was a way to access the river Jesse had to get as close as possible.

Pretty view of the Canyon

We decided to take a walk down the river trail. This must be a popular place for skate and long boarders because we saw a million. or more. The scary ones where the ones who were lying on their stomach going down the hill head first like the skeleton. No helmet mind you. Now how do they stop??

See more water

You can see my tummy from the front now.

Haha... he threw the sticky thing at me first.

Luckily our dog is very well trained and does not trespass. Well if we had a dog he would not trespass.

So this picture is the fence directly to the right of the no trespassing sign. Reading is a really hard thing for some people. Maybe it's the comprehension not the reading. Either way...

Spit bugs! Jesse found it amusing that I enjoy destroying the bug's house and then putting him back.
