On the Road Again

Probably the last cross country drive we will make, at least for awhile. Here are our adventures from driving through exciting places, like Nebraska.

We saw an Indiana license plate and Jesse got excited and wanted to take a picture then we saw another and another. Five Indiana license plates total.

Will we make it to the pot of gold?

You may need to enlarge this photo. It says Buford population 1

We are where? (sign from Ogallala Nebraska)

King Ryan about to enjoy some chicken nuggets and fries.

"Ryan's" king sized bed, he eventually got transfered to the crib until some crazy high school kids started yelling and opening and closing their door.

Madison Botanical Gardens

Huh?

What is that?!

Here birdie, birdie, birdie

The "okay you can touch this stuff" area.

Photography practice. There are 20 more not good photos of these fish. Photos into water with glare, not my strong point.

Big red flower

Scene from The Halfing's Gem? Or some other sci-fi book?

A post only an engineer would love

The Composite Bridge

Ken proudly holding the finished bridge... made from other people's scraps. Not due to procrastination, no, but because they worked really hard analyzing instead of copying the last year's winner.

Umm, what is this thing?

Various other bridges

Get it on the crusher, just right.

Here dad, let me help.

Bridge post crushing still holds Ryan up.

I can even stand on it!

What the bridge should look like.

The failure... if you want to know specifics I'm sure Jesse can tell you.

The bridge could not handle friend Kevin stomping on it. Now everyone has a part to take home... or throw out.

Graduation Part 2

Engineering Convocation in the Field House

Welcome, you will now be graduating.

Look mom, I'm being good.

Why are we doing this again?

Jesse after receiving his diploma cover.

Okay dad, we watched you get your diploma cover, now lets get some food!

Follow us, we know where the Clyde building is.

Metal! Oh yummy I love zippers. Thanks Grandma.

Graduation Part 1

The first day of graduation. I can not believe that Jesse is done with his undergraduate work. He worked really hard and really earned his degree. I am so proud of him. I love you Jesse!

Jesse before commencement

Okay Katrina, no more pictures. (I have quite a few pictures with this look)

Num num spatula. Hanging out with Grandpa

What is going on in here? Can dad see us yet? (He did acutally see us because of this)

The Marriot Center as the graduates marched in. Note the tunnel is packed and there are only three rows left. The rest got to sit on the bleachers. Jesse was one of the lucky ones that ended up in the bleachers.

President Samuelson welcomes everyone.

Jesse and one of his teachers Dr. Chase

This is my other grandpa.

The Graduate

Hey dad, I like your tie.

Friends Sam and Jeremy

More Easter

Easter for real this time.

Alright mom, I'm ready for conference.

I love the Prophet.

May I please have the biter biscuit? Please?

Why did they put this big plastic bag in here?

Oops...

Mom, these are my real ears. See these ones, right here.

He will pick up the tiniest of crumbs from off his tray.
